Having a makeup enthusiast sister-in-law, I always receive tons of makeup. Sometimes, I just end up using them once or give some to my sister and close friends. I am the type who can go out with zero makeup. It was only when I reached 30 when I realized that I need to learn how to put on makeup because its expensive to hire a makeup artist every time I have a party or event to attend. Plus, my favorite makeup artist won’t be available for me anytime I want.
When I found out that my fiend, Marie of Mamanee’s Nest is having a makeup workshop I didn’t have second thoughts of signing up. Why not? I have seen her make-up transformation and I am impressed.
Our workshop was held in a resto somewhere in Quezon City. It was an intimate workshop attended by 3 students including myself. This is the type of workshops that I prefer because I find it more personal and I get to ask unlimited questions.
We were taught the proper way of taking care of our skin and the right products to use. I am also surprised that there is actually an easier way of finding out the perfect shade of foundation for my skin type! You have to attend the workshop to find out. You will thank me later.
I also learned the different uses of make-up brushes. I never had the chance to look up on Google how each brush should be used so, I am really thankful that I attended this workshop.
It was a short yet very educational workshop. I was able to apply everything that I have learned now that I have shifted careers from being a BPO employee to a Marketing Manager for a beauty and skin care product line. I still have so many things to learn and I do hope to see you on one of Marie’s future workshops.
