Chronicles of a Happy Married Life

Relax, Rejuvenate and Earn Cashback!

There seems to be a different tempo during summer. You can stay inside your jammies all day or plan a long trip with family and friends because summer means less traffic and no cramming because everyone including your kids are free for a trip anywhere you want. It truly is a season when nothing seems urgent. But, summer has ended! Are you the type who starts cancelling family get aways because travelling for long hours seems like a waste of time and effort, or are you just like us who take every opportunity to be together to make the most out of it? We’re the type who book hotels for the weekends just to be able to catch up. Spending quality time for us doesn’t always have to be out of the country or out of town. We love discovering hotels near our place.

I am so happy when my friend introduced Shopback to me. Did you know that booking a hotel can help you earn money for your next get away? Cool, isn’t it? Later, I’ll show you how you can sign-up to Shopback for FREE. But for now, check out our suggested Hotels near the Metro for your next get away.

It’s not just for travelling, they also tied up with merchants like Zalora. A lot of things to shop on line that has great reward (cashback).

  2. I joined Shopback months ago and then forgot all about it. My bad! I’m into staycations and have been looking for great hotel deals. I wanna earn while I enjoy a hotel stay! Thanks for reminding me about Shopback. 🙂

  3. Thank You so much for these details. Who doesn’t want some rewards while they’re already spending so much…I often use Agoda for hotel deals, as well as Expedia; but was never aware of Shopback…Thanks for the tip 😉

  4. I love Shang. Haven’t tried Z yet but I heard it’s fantastic. Shopback sounds awesome too!

Thank you for the detailed steps. They were very helpful and I will try this out soon. Also, were you able to try the hotels mentioned above? Which is your favorite? 😀

  9. Great concept! Thanks for explaining this! Been wanting to do a few getaways and this came just in time 🙂

  10. We aren’t really the type to book a hotel room… we just can’t justify the cost living on a single income! We usually go camping to get away from it all during the summer. But I’ll try to remember Shopback the next time I’m doing online shopping!

  11. ack! I found out about this a little bit too late. We live in subic and we always stay in hotels whenever we have business in manila. Moving back this july though! But we’re still always on the lookout for best deals, and staycations are my favorite thing. So this could still come out handy..bookmarking! Thanks for the info! 🙂 to

  12. Heard of Shopback before. An SG company if I’m not mistaken? I like the idea because Filipinos are frequent consumers. We ought to have frequent flyer miles for frequent shopping.

  13. I heard about Shopback before but never have I tried creating an account yet. I’m still undecided on whether to do so or not since I don’t shop very often online.

  14. I really should try Shopback. Been shopping online again lately eh… Btw, I just realized I haven’t been to Crimson Hotel even if it’s the closest from where I live (siguro kasi nga malapit lang, uwi nlng lol)… Z Hostel looks like a nice place to try from your photo.

  16. I have heard of shopback but haven’t really been able to give it a try. I feel a wee bit wary about it. I would love to stay at those hotels for a discounted price for sure.

  17. Been at Z hostel and might as well go there again after I registered to Cashack. Heard about cashback from a friend in purchasing gadgets and he said it did help him to save.

  18. I’m using Shopback from my online purchases. And yes, it’s really nice because you get cashback from the items you purchase so it’s a great deal for everyone.

  20. this is the first time that i heard about cashback and this one looks promising. I have already tried shopping online and booking rooms as well, I would definitely try this out soon as it will help me save. Thanks for the detailed review it will help me a lot.

  21. I’m really not a fun of shopping online (because I splurge! So I avoid it. hehe) and staycations (because I’ll just spend the money on travelling outdoors). But the word “cash back” is the key word here that made me interested. Hehe Thanks for the step-by-step procedure and introducing this to us! 🙂

  22. I also have Shopback and love the cashback from shopping! I look out for the special deals they have where the cashback is a little higher than usual depending on the online store.

  23. Sounds like a good deal for people who love staycationing at hotels. I think it’s a glorified rebate program haha but it works. Marketing has to evolve for all companies . If you don’t adjust and adapt, you’re dead meat! I’ll keep this shopback in mind for future purposes.

  24. Haven’t tried of cashback before but it seems like a good deal.

For travels, I’m actually into backpacking but just recently I find joy at staycations. This is perfect for getting discounts/rebates from hotel stays. Will check this out
